Vice President, Information Technology

Our client would prefer a candidate that lives near Mount Laurel, New Jersey, but is open to candidates that live in the central or eastern time zone and is willing to travel.
Key activities include:
- Leadership – Be a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management team. Serve as the senior technology leader in the Corporation with exceptional business and technology acumen and communication skills. Provide guidance and direction to the business units to align the enterprise IT strategy with the needs of the business units.
- Technology vision and value building – Develop and deliver a short-term and multi-year Corporate IT strategy that fuels growth and productivity across the enterprise.
- Oversight - Continually assess the existing IT infrastructure, services, applications, and operations for improvements; explore new ways to collaborate, consolidate, and streamline instructional and non-instructional activities.
- Financial Performance – Provide transparency across the business as it pertains to IT investments, enterprise initiatives and key leading indicators to ensure that senior leaders are seeing the ROI on their IT investments. Advise senior business leaders on IT capabilities to 2 drive revenue and operating efficiencies.
- Compliance – Ensure proactive strategies are in place to drive compliance. Educating and advising on IT program compliance as well as engaging our employees to discuss our compliance strategies and future roadmaps. Advocate for our customers and employees to ensure we operate with industry standard security practices.
- Execution - Develop, recommend for approval, and implement approved information technology and systems policies and procedures. These include those related to systems, architecture, security, and disaster recovery. Oversee and ensure all information system and information technology projects are completed within budget.
- Security - responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information and cybersecurity management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. This includes leading the implementation of best-practice security systems, procedures, standards, and guidelines, developing mitigation plans as well as managing security incident response activities and forensic investigations.
- Talent Development - Coach, mentor, and network to support development of the IT teams to ensure success.
Background/Skills Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably with a Master’s degree in Business Administration) from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, computer science, information systems, or directly related area of specialization.
- 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the job functions. Must have a minimum six (6) years of executive management experience.
- Experience working with enterprise applications (ERP’s, CRM’s, etc.), telecommunication infrastructure, network security, application development, hardware life cycle management, and other business technologies preferably at a large, complex, and diverse public company.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating information technology plans to achieve the strategic goals of the organization.
- Comprehensive understanding of business issues related to information technology.
- Experience developing and articulating a vision and direction to diverse interest groups to achieve common goals related to information technology.
- Experience developing diverse IT teams, managing, and motivating technical staff members and managers.
- Experience in manufacturing environment, highly preferred
- Experience working with geographically separated employees and international experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees to include superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company including the Board of Directors.
- Ability and openness to travel both domestic/international
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills; highly motivated and results-oriented - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills including comfort presenting to and partnering with senior leaders across the organization as well as the Board of Directors
- Ability to analyze data and recommend changes based on the analysis
- Ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions
