Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate truck and trailer in all weather conditions; including maintaining Department of Transportation (DOT) hours of service, ensuring rest breaks are adhered to
• Perform all Pre, Inter, and Post-trip inspections; responsible for regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure that their truck remains safe and legal to drive
• Pickup and deliver cylinders of various sizes utilizing a 45' liftgate trailer and dolly
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
• Keep a log of their activities and trips; ability to operate our onboard recording device (ELD)
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment clean and in good working order
• Transport hazardous material
• Arrange loads as needed to meet DOT weight requirement
• Take special precautions while driving
• Plan routes and driving schedules, particularly for long-haul trips
• Operate efficiently while maintaining DOT compliance

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Must have a minimum of two years of verifiable experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake Endorsement
• Must be able to meet DOT standards for OTR driver: motor vehicle records check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical
